One of the awareness events for May is Mental Health Month. While I’ve learned a lot from the “what not to do,” courses in life, the lessons gleaned from caring, genuine and authentically informative persons has left supremely significant marks of inspiration in my life. Teachers have a significant role in students of all ages life affecting many areas, including mental health. I’ve had some 🤬 teachers and others who were outstanding👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 (check the link below for a mental health and abuse recovery ThriveGlobal article I wrote about a professor I’ve nicknamed, Professor MathEmatics). Be mindful of how you treat and interact with people as these are lessons of what to do and, what not to do. From friends like Lisa Wong, Magdalena Gomez and Natalie Higgins who have shown me dynamic leadership means a mixture of walking away and kicking in doors sometimes; Kara Danas who taught me to look at social media in a different way; Yunzhu Zhou and Paula J. Cohen Botch introduced video editing and lighting in a deeper way; Cat Beaudoin for furthering my environmental justice learning; Heidi Sue LeBoeuf, Bethany Michelle, Lynn Rocker, Tricia Stephenson Bethune, David Polidi, sisters and brothers in the work; Lacie Gull Iacobone introduced grace in a different and long lasting way; Shari Horsey who when I was struggling, you told me I would be okay and provided steps on making that so;Wendell Ben Rhodes and Tom Nally who’ve shown me men can be truthful, vulnerable and strong and these qualities are assets not liabilities and French Quarters who has been an ally of support and Sibling Supreme-ness, these like my Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. King, my Junior High teacher, Ms. Bush and High School teachers physics, economics and literature teachers Mr.Grupp, Olson and Mrs. Tink along with others have taught me so much and continue to do so. Teachers come in a myriad of ways and from the traditional, untraditional, unorthodox and all in between, (and especially Sara Goguen, Emily Campbell West, Christine Jozitis, Michelle Duncan, Prilly Sanville, Norah Dooley, Marianne Adams, Lisa Donovan, Abbey Ross, Nicole Cerullo, Delia Tharnish, Kevin Bisson Morgan Busch and Brian Burpee) thanks so much for you and your contribution. Live Well. Do Well. Be Well💜
