Mindful Monday: Solitude

There was a time when silence scared me. I have found many people associate loudness as a negative but toxic silence can also be a product of dysfunction. It just really depends on what’s happening in that particular situation. I had to relearn or chose to relearn despite some negative things that happened to me in the dark and in silent moments, that’s not all that silence was, or is. It has taken some time but I now love my own quiet time and can feel silences and varying degrees within. There are times when I crave it and other times when I need to turn up the volume in my own life in other ways and include other people. There is a beauty to solitude and I definitely believe it starts within each of us💜
