Mindful Monday: Color

  • by

This weekend was largely recognized as Easter weekend. The week leading to it brought continual thoughts of my grandmother and my own spiritual journey. While not perfect, my grandmother and great- grandmother were wonderful women and I know they loved me. I was thinking about the love and purpose of this past weekend: the death and resurrection of Christ, and not pretty colored eggs and favors, (although they’re cool, just not the main focus). This weekend also was the memory of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King. It felt heavy last week leading up to the weekend, but I had good memories and connectors: speaking with a couple of friends who color my life in beautiful ways. Remembering the Easter baskets I would get that were always vibrant with color and care. One day we’ll all be just a memory for some people. Do your absolute best to keeping hoping, believing and working towards being your best, most evolved self. Do your best to leave behind good memory imprints. We bring or detract color, life vibrancy from each other. Remember to Love the people around you. And that definitely includes loving yourself. Live Well. Do Well. Be Well 💙💜
