Mindful Monday: Purpose

  • by

“Serving no purpose brings curses.” -Bishop T.D. Jakes

What is your function? I’ve heard people say, including some people close to my heart, they don’t think about themselves as they aren’t really that important. While I care about them, I don’t accept this at all! We all have a function. We are all here, dwelling, living, breathing for a purpose. And in being here in these body temples having these humanoid experiences that encase our spirits and souls, what are we doing with this life we’ve been given? I’ve been learning it’s not selfish to think about oneself, or even think highly of oneself. It is selfish to solely, only promote oneself and put others down. Without having a purpose, a function, dysfunction is the natural and unfortunate opposite result. It’s never too late to start loving yourself which I’m now understanding is one of the best services we can provide. It allows us to love others more completely and unconditionally. It’s also never too late to unearth your purpose. It may not be a “big” thing to others but if it’s important to you, it’s a big deal. You’re a big deal! Praise to the Purpose, down with the Curses!💜
